So, players can treat themselves to Vermintide 2 while waiting for the release of Darktide at the end of this month. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide was first announced for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (along with PC) all the way back at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2020with a release window of 2021, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that we're going to finally see it on consoles this year. While the base game of Vermintide 2 and its upcoming DLC are free, the rest of the DLCs are not. Trail of Treachery is the first part of a two-part "snowy adventure mission" that follows you and your companions as you accompany a caravan carrying valuable cargo to a village plagued by strange and unusual occurrences. On November 8, Fatshark is giving away the free update to Vermintide 2, Trail of Treachery.
